Invisalign: The Choice for On-the-Go Adults

More and more, adults are taking charge of their oral health and appearance. If you never saw a top orthodontist in your youth, or if you did but your teeth have since shifted back out of place, you may be interested in having your teeth straightened. If you’re like most busy adults, though, you’re not interested in advertising your orthodontic work while it is in progress. In these cases, Invisalign may be just the option you need to get the smile you want in a way that fits your lifestyle.

Discreet Orthodontics

Invisalign is aptly named because it is a virtually invisible method of aligning the teeth. Rather than having metal or ceramic brackets cemented to the surface of your teeth with the tell-tale orthodontic wires, Invisalign makes use of a series of custom designed, clear mouth trays. When you’re wearing the trays, they are barely noticeable, which means you can continue to smile confidently in whatever you’re doing.

Convenient Orthodontics
You’ll switch Invisalign trays about once every two weeks, but your orthodontist will provide you with six weeks’ worth of trays at each visit. That means less time visiting your orthodontist and more time going about your life. Of course, it is up to you to wear your trays for the recommended daily amount of time, but they are so non-intrusive that meeting this goal should be no trouble at all.

Because Invisalign trays are removable, they won’t interfere with your ability to eat your favorite foods, carry out proper oral hygiene, or even play sports. Simply remove the trays for these activities and replace them when you’re done. Do be sure, however, to always place your trays in their protective case when not in use so that you don’t accidently throw them away or damage them.
